Hi. Hopefully you can help me. My computer "skips". When playing music files offline it stops the fast forwards till it's normal. it's fast when doing so. It's nothing too bad but now I've had enough. It does it in MIDIs, but not only that but it does it on games and just normal computering. HOWEVER if I go online everything is fine. What causes this and how can I fix it? It happened when I was downloading a MP3 file when the site reset it screwed me up. That happened a loooong time ago, and now, I'm sick of it. Please help. -GK
what operating system are you using? i would suggest you go to windows update before anything else and make sure you download the newest version of windows media player. If this does not fix the problem, try to go to www.winamp.com and download their media player to see if the problem is fixed.
If neither of those solutions are able to fix your problem, you may wish to find out what type of sound card you have and go to the manufacturers website and download/install the latest soundcard drivers for your computer.
also what are you using to download MP3 files? alot of Peer 2 Peer programs actually have Mp3s that have been messed up intentionally in order to inhibit copyright infringement
