I need a cheap (but decent) dvd burner external USB that will work with my puter--HP Pavillion 533mgz, 128ram, DSL, Win98, not too worried about speed--thanks Geekman

The memorex MEM-32023277 is a great external dvd drive. It costs roughly $150 and is 8x write/rewrite. You can find them at your local Circuit City. You will want to buy a PCMCIA USB 2.0 card (Model# GPU202CCS) or more preferably a PCMCIA firewire card such as the Iogear USB 2.0 PCMCIA adapter or Iogear Firewire PCMCIA Adapter (Model # GPF113), because the USB card in your laptop should be USB 1.1 (12MbPS) which will slow down a high speed device such as a DVD writer and could cause adverse effects depending on the quality of the drive (ie: buffer underrun).
